Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment for all staff and visitors to SCHC facilities.
Maintenance Staff may be called upon to travel to either clinic to assist in various projects.
ESSENTIAL:
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
General building maintenance of all SCHC facilities, including interior and exterior repairs as directed.
Areas of general maintenance include but are not limited to:
Generator and transfer switch, boiler system, plumbing and electrical systems, dental and medical equipment, fire suppression system and HVAC systems.
Maintenance of exterior/general appearance and safety of buildings and grounds, including landscaping, snow removal of sidewalks and parking lot, snow shoveling, sanding icy surfaces.
This includes watering landscaping, cutting, and trimming shrubs and grass.
Assist in ongoing and future construction projects as directed.
Monitor janitorial supply inventory and report needed supplies to Facilities Director for re-ordering.
Responsible for safely storing biohazard waste from clinic and coordinating pick up and disposal through a third party.
Compliance with OSHA safety guidelines Compliance with HIPAA privacy policy.
Keep the delivery area clear of boxes or packages.
Assist with directing deliveries to the appropriate parties.
Clean windows and screens, clean and polish fixtures, change light bulbs, as necessary.
Ensures attendance and hours worked are accurately recorded.
Work hours are generally during clinic hours (8:
00AM - 5:
00 PM).
Occasionally Maintenance Staff may need to work after 5:
00PM to complete projects or fill in for custodial staff such as in times of emergency or pre-planned vacation.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Graduation from high school or the equivalent, at least 18 years old and 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
